"No Kennel" You no longer have to take your pet to the kennel the day before or pick them up by a certain time.Your pet is able to stay in their own homeeat their own food, sleep in their own bed and go potty in their own yard. Why do they need to stay in a cold, damp and noisy kennel because you are going away. We go to your home and feed, water, let the pet out to potty, get your mail, paper, take the trash to the curb and give your pets tender loving care. Send you emails and photos of your pets daily. Only one person will take care of your pet's while you are away.
When they are taken to a kennel multiple people take them out. Many of the kennels tell you that your pet is taken out for half hour three times a day and that is not true. Maybe 15 minutes per shift and that is for someone to clean out the cage. Now they go back into that small cage and get to listen to all the other unhappy pet's. I have heard of dog's being attacked by other dog's in the kennels or they catch kennel cough because someone else has a sick pet. Many of the kennels take in rescues and have no clue if these animals have had their shots or if they have been abused. Rescues need to be kept in another building then they can be checked by a vet and given all of their shots. Just like being in an office if one person gets sick it usually spread around the office. Usually the germs is carried through the air ducts, bytouch and it can be on carried on the attendants shoes or clothes this is no different with animals.
Check the web and see if you can find insured pet sitters in your city. Check their credentials and see if they you can contact any of the other clients. Ask them questions you are trusting them with your home and something you love very much. And if you don't trust others to come in your home check the kennel that you are taking your pet too. Do a surprise stop and do a walk through. If they don't want to do that they must have something to hide. My son has worked for a kennel and he has seen dog's attack other dog's, his been bitten because a dog was scared, attendents have put dogs in the wrong cages, they take a dog out and put them back in a wet cage and the temperature in the building is about 55 degrees. Also, check you Better Business Bureau and see if they have any complaints.
